Obviously this is an arbitrary list but from talkin to people, seeing lists on teh interweb etc...this is the idea i got of the the top 10 highest rated Beatles songs.

1. A Day In The Life
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. I'm Only Sleeping
4. Strawberry Fields Forever
5. Happiness Is A Warm Gun
6. Here Comes The Sun
7. I Am the Walrus
8. Helter Skelter
9. Penny Lane
10. Yesterday

Again obviously it's arbitrary, but I think it's pretty accurate.

I wouldn't say top 5 😕 , maybe top 20 though.

I think that was one of, if not THE, earliest use of backwards guitar I've heard on I'm Only Sleeping.

Oddly enough, although I feel like the greatest Beatles songs are John-songs, I think Paul -- who is obviously more pop-minded -- is more consistent due to his unparalleled ability to write the greatest melodies on Earth.
