Virgin Killers, whatever that is, may have a good cover, but Virgin Killer sure doesn't. But it IS amusing. Pfft, what do they know about art? Besides, there issue had more to do with the fact that the cover was misleading as to the meaning of the album's name; the piece as a whole is actually a pretty nice work of art. The piece is well composed, well balanced and has some nice contrast going on there. Laughing Stock on the other hand - it's far too symmetrical, and very rarely does symmetry make for engaging composition. And the colours just aren't doing it for me; very few times have I looked at such vivid colours yet still felt bored by them. They just aren't very well utilized. Overall, it just isn't a very impressive cover.

How the freaking rotten honey is Virgin Killer more "impressive" than Laughing Stock?

Huge fan of all James Marsh's artwork. He is releasing a book of Talk Talk artwork this year sometime.

As with Laughing Stock, I chose this in competition with Colour Of Spring and Spirit Of Eden. Don't know if I made the right choice.

Talk Talk by default. It's not that I'm offended by the Scorpions cover... (It is pretty tacky) I just deduct points for a cheap attempt to draw attention. I don't find it profound, if that's what they're driving for.
