And I'd also suggest replacing "I Want to Hold Your Hand" with "Tomorrow Never Knows", which, aside from being a really cool song, was also probably one of the most truly AMAZING Beatles tracks (I know Eleanor Rigby is the popular Revolver choice, but TNK was the groundbreaking one). Now you can't say that about Hold Your Hand, right? And for the VU, "Sunday Morning", "Sister Ray", and "Venus in Furs" would be great additions too. And "Rollin' Stone" for Muddy Waters. And "Desperado" for Eagles.

With any list we can always come up with suggested additions and deletions. How long should a list be? I have edited both the year and alpha list by including two more songs:

In a sense, it does. It determines whether of not a song gets boring over time. The entire aging process of a song is actually kinda cool. You can tell after a few years whether your song turned into a nice wine, or a rotten banana.

But, regardless, we've had some great songs since 2008 😄 Runaway, My Girls, Daniel, White Winter Hymnal, Midnight City, Round & Round, Shutterbug, 1901, Norway, A-Punk, Holecene, Good Intentions Pavement Company, Sprawl II, Bloodbuzz Ohio, Tighten Up, I Can Change, Melancholy Hill, Spanish Sahara, Tightrope, VCR, Two Weeks, Dog Days Are Over, Death And All His Friends, Time To Pretend, Machine Gun, etc..

All 5/5 songs. I could see all of those standing the test of time. :)

Time is one of the variables that set Fads apart from Great Songs. Here is one song that may one day be great:
