They have a great song called 'The Boy With the Thorn in His Side' which is great. 😄 I have listened to 'The Queen is Dead' recentely to and I would say I enjoyed it.

It may be boring. But I'm not surprised that people will look at this data questioningly. Its all based on interpretation, trying to get an idea of which album is the best from a lot of opinions. The problem is that the data is not random, it comes from a bunch of obsesive people who have the ability to listen many albums but also spend time thinking about them and then put together a giant list, and them post several hundred messages so they can get to a list of 100. I think that excludes a lot of people, probably even most of the people who work on and make the records. Anybody do any work on any of the top 1000 albums?

I agree with the fact that the b sides compilations shouldn't be ranked that high but lets be fair, their 4 studio albums are top 500 material... The Smiths are like Radiohead, people believe blindly in them (some people at least) and that's why some others who are more objective repel them in seconds...

No, Beach Boys are not overrated. They have made like 100 albums or so, but only 2 actual albums (3 if you count Smile Sessions) are in the top 1000. The Smiths on the other hand have made 4 actual albums and have 6 albums in the top 1000.
