It's just personal opinion, but long lists like yours usually include many overlooked albums too.

And you clearly didn't read the original post very carefully. BlueNote has already listened to some of these albums!

I don't recommend Braxton or Sun Ra as a starting place for jazz, although you might try Atlantis - Sun Ra to see why.

Clearly I read the original post. I have faith that BlueNote can easily note the duplications in his list, the other recommendations and my list.

The problem with you Eggman/Walrus/Taxman is that you think you are the only authority on how one should respond on BEA. I haven't heard anybody but you complaining. Sorry I don't meet your expectations.

if someone (who does not know any popular music) would ask you what rock albums would you recommend? How would you answer? would you do a list of albums that form the BEA's Top 100? or your own favorites? When asked for jazz albums, easily select the Anglo / African-American classics. Many listen to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue a rock album ... 🤣

You have to try John Coltrane's Olé it is quite different and unique and mesmerizing in its own kind of way

Of course if you liked what you heard from Miles you have to go to where it all began ...

You already have some of them though so might not be ideal for you. The second box is just as good. Of course Columbia Records jazz is not as renowned as Blue Note jazz but if you stick to the great titles you still can't go wrong.
