I haven't had a gig since April, and haven't got one 'til November... but then it goes completely crazy for 3 weeks: first up is PJ Harvey (in a warehouse, of all places), then Terrorvision playing Regular Urban Survivors in full, followed by Anathema debuting new material- about a week's break- finished off with The Cure and Electric Six on back to back nights.

Then about six weeks later... Meshuggah!

I'm going to see MØ next month! I'm also looking forward to maybe seeing Aurora a few days before. Then maybe Explosions In The Sky and/or Let's Eat Grandma!! Depends what at cheap really. I have no money

Went to a house party last night with The Cold Year, Breezeway, and Mortigi Tempo. It was great to see those old friends bring in crowds off the street after the U vs BYU game.

Glass Animals in Minneapolis next month. The opener is Pumarosa, a band I've never heard of, so I'm on a music acquisition spree today.

heading out later tonight to see Michael Tilson Thomas conducting Steve Reich & musicians. Last time I saw Reich (with Philip Glass) it was quite possibly the best concert experience of my life, so I'm really excited 😁

And it was magical especially the tracks of If You're Feeling Sinister and of that especially the Stars of Track and Field. There was a lot of interaction with the public and Stuart Lee Murdoch even went into the public to shake hands with nearly everybody.

Just saw Russell Haswell, Not Waving, and Powell live for the Diagonal Records 5th anniversary tour. It was incredible. Not Waving did way extended versions of I Know I Know I Know and 24, and all of the distortion was like exponentially greater than on record, it was awesome. And I had so much fun dancing to Powell, his new single is OK but the other new songs he was playing were on a whole other level, that album is really going to be something.

Through early September I've got shows for Boxhead Ensemble, Sun Ra Arkestra, Joanna Newsom, and Demdike Stare. Pretty excite.
