I've reread the whole thread recently before your answer and it's cool enough when people share the same opinions about best opening/closing albums, but it can also be a little tiring when 30 different people list "OK Computer" as an album with a great opener and closer in the same thread (not that I disagree, I love "Airbag" and especially "The Tourist").

There's loads of great ones, but I think Ziggy Stardust wins outright for me. Opening with that cool drum beat and ending with the shot of strings are perfect bookends.
