Sorry for the delay in replying (I was flying today), and for the problem that you are reporting. I'm trying to think how this could have happened. One scenario is that somebody opened a tab when the album was unlocked, and left it open. Meanwhile, the album gets updated by somebody else (after ten minutes, the album is unlocked), but then the first user then goes back to the open tab to update the details as well.

The difficult balance to get right is not locking everything for too long which would make it too difficult for people to get a window to make an edit, and not too short that an overlap occurs. I think maybe the ten minutes needs to be increased a little bit (to maybe 30 mins).

(It did not show that Naples was already editing the album. We ended up duplicating the work.)

No worries, I hadn't anticipated this problem. I'll add something shortly to limit this to one open edit per user...

Did you see a user editing more than one album at the same time?

Comment above got me a little paranoid as I was the only other person editing albums at the time. I don't consciously remember opening more than one at once 😲 Although... I have close to 20 tabs open right now, maybe I did something without knowing.

I don't know how feasible this is, but it could be helpful.

Sometimes, when entering data for newly added albums, more than one person will be working on the same album at the same time. This results in one person's work having to be deleted, and a big one of these:

What if we had a button in the album moderation screen that one could push when moderating an album? The button would then turn on an "in session" light on the list of newly added albums, so that others will know not to go in and moderate it at the same time, and to move on to the next one. When the moderation is completed, the light would go off. Also, after a period of, say, 5 minutes without the entries being completed, the light would be turned off automatically so that people don't stay in the same album for long periods of time.

Also, a limit of one per user at a time: this will keep people from claiming more than one album to work on.

Again, don't know if this can be done...but it is an issue that does come up when doing a lot of data moderating.
