Obviously I'd recommend them, but I doubt they'll be to anyone's tastes particularly. They're twee (but not in a cool Belle & Sebastian-type way) and inoffensive, and their production is pretty unoriginal. But they've got a dozen or so brilliant songs, and if you like your pop with a dollop of folk then they're worth checking out.

No, I can't remember why I first went to see them, I think just on a whim. But they were really good. They're pretty inoffensive, but I like them nonetheless. Sort of expected them to be a lot bigger though.

I have listened to Up All Night as well and really, that's all I have heard about them.

Commerical radio stations don't touch a majority of indie/alternative folk and Triple J are really the only ones who would play them.

I find 'London Still' to be a decent song but I am not clammering to listen to anything else by them. If you asked the average Aussie who they were, they would look at you funny, ask if you have heard of Gotye before and then turn on some overly-appreciated pub rock. (Sorry, living in a country town has skewed my vision)

I know there's a fair few Aussie's on this site. What are people's views on The Waifs?

I LOVE them, seen them live four times and they're never anything less than brilliant. Not particularly original, but a great band nonetheless. How are they viewed in Australia? And does anyone else like them?
