I understand if people don't like the front man with the too big ego, in this case Bono. I have only read very little about him so it's not something that bothers me in any way. And calling their entire discography except "Boy" and "War" useless is also pretty harsh. I think the opening 3 tracks from "The Joshua Tree" are quite impossible not to like (please don't comment on this sentence, there will always be somebody to say that he/she hates everything U2 have ever made), in fact every U2 album I've heard consists of at least 50% great songs.
