Don't feel too bad, this was my first "standing up" concert, like at a legit venue. I saw Radiohead at the Verizon Center, a few Beatles cover bands, and Brian Wilson, but those were all seated. Does that still count?

I've never actually been to a concert (that I cared about anyway. I've seen some pop acts before with friends, deadmau5, lmfao, sean desman).

Mostly because all the acts I want to see live are either dead, from the UK, or too expensive 😐

I'm also indecisive on what I want to look back at my first concert as. I might go see Animal Collective during their tour. But I've heard that they actually aren't very good live 😕

I just saw the Dirty Projector's last night at the 9:30 Club, and it was awesome! They absolutely killed the performance, especially the songs "Useful Chamber" and "Unto Caesar". The opening act, Wye Oak, was pretty cool too, I'd check them out.

But yeah, the Dirty Projectors are now my favorite thing ever, and I'm absolutely in love with Amber Coffman.
