Okay, maybe not "cool". Maybe "classic" or "respectable" would have been a better word...

As you noted, I only picked up on it because you said it was "considered cool". It's hardly a Tamagotchi.

Where in the world is Knockin' on Heaven's Door considered "cool"? Am I in Life On Mars? Is it actually 1973?

Actually, even then it wasn't considered cool. Lester Bangs would've burned it and blasted some Iggy.

When I was 16 I was in my first car, a Nissan Sentry, when it was engulfed in flames and was completely destroyed in a matter of minutes. Never could figure out the cause was, since by the time the fire department showed up it was nothing more than a few steel beams. But as I stood by and watched it burning, I could hear Simon and Garfunkel's Bleeker Street still blasting from the speakers, and it seemed quite appropriate.

I'd like it to be either The Gush by Chris Morris or This Is Hardcore by Pulp

not in my playlist, but L7's "Pretend that We're Dead" would be a pretty ironic one 🤣

Day Is Done - Nick Drake
would be the best soundtrack for the whole my life-flashing-before-my-eyes thing.
and yeah, it would be sad.

Knowing my luck, this song would come on when something like this would happen.

I would prefer the first two.

Maybe I have been spending too much time working on year 12 assignments and my brain fried.

i almost bit it driving 95 mph at night in wyoming while listening to the decemberists' "mariner's revenge song". of course, it wasn't a whale that almost ended me but a deer. turns out i survived unscathed while my ship (car) sank.

I never drive while intoxicated since writing off my car on MDMA.

My song would be Hand In Glove by The Smiths, don't know why.

I've always imagined Oceanic by Isis being my "death album". Although it makes more sense if I was drowning. This song in particular:

Possibly The Plain of Ida too.

Either way, it would probs be something metal though.
