Paul's Boutique maybe, but their debut is no more ahead of it's time than what Run DMC and LL Cool J were doing around the same period.

At what point have I ever posted anything on here that is a joke or a troll comment? I honestly think Queen II, with better production, would do decently well today.

Not gonna even click on any of the poll options, that's just a fuckton of stupidness waiting for trolls.

Anyway, I agree with the Remain in Light sentiment.

Pet Sounds has always seemed ahead of its' time to me. Phil Spector might've done the Wall of Sound before The Beach Boys, but Brian Wilson perfected it. Brian Wilson is essentially the Galileo to Spector's Copernicus. Plus some of the instrumentation on that album was just unheard of. Who the hell in their right mind in 1966 would've thought a pop can could be made into an instrument?

A lot of Queen's stuff, while not necessarily ahead of its' time, still sounds extremely fresh today. I'm thinking Queen II in particular when I say this.
