Also this makes Group A incredibly interesting.. No clear cut winner. It's going to come down to the wire.

My first listen of the Built to Spill album went quite well, but I did think it was a bit too long... Which means I don't love it enough to make a decision for 1994, but still enough to make things even... I still have to listen to Channel Orange and Nick Cave's album, but considering I have other stuff to do + listen (haven't voted in a single match this time around!), I'll probably abstain.

Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is a masterpiece. The best album by the best band of the last 20 years. Is everyone forgetting how good Pavement are? Animal Collective are great, but nobody can tell me Centipede Hz. matches up to the behemoth that is Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. Grizzly Bear's Shields is awesome, but will everyone still remember it in 18 years time as being as good as CR,CR? Doubtful.

One of a handful of hip-hop records that everyone (non-hip-hop fans included) should own. The album is seminal, one of hip-hop's greatest ever by arguably its' most charismatic character. It's not ridiculous to say that, had his life not been tragically cut short, Biggie would be as big as Jay-Z today. Ready To Die is, according to Time Magazine, one of the 100 greatest albums of all-time. It's one of the top 3 or 4 greatest hip-hop albums ever. Against the 3rd or 4th best R'n'B album of 2012? Has anybody here listened to BJ the Chicago Kid's album? Or Rochelle Jordan's? Does anyone actually believe Channel Orange is as strong an album as Total Loss? Do yourselves a favour and go and get those. You might find something you like. And it won't be because of hype.

This team contains some of the best rock and pop music ever released, and some of my favourite music to boot. Vote '94!
