There are plenty of movies that have made me foam at the mouth with hatred, but not many albums that come to mind. I can't even think of a least favourite band.

I don't know as there is too much redemption going on. The problem that arises now is when I stop disliking an album and remaining largly indifferent to it. Seems to have happened to Kid A and Is This It. I hope it doesn't stay that way long.

I can understand not hating Zeitgeist, but personally for me it was entirely annoying and grating. I found on the early albums that with repeated listens Billy's voice continued to grow on me and become an important part of the experience. But I found with Zeitgeist it just annoyed me no matter how many times I listened. And where they had a very unique sound in the 90's, this album seemed extraodinarily bland and lacking in creativity. Honestly, if it wasn't Billy Corgan I would have just dismissed it as an average rock album. But every 90's Smashing Pumpkins album was fantastic in it's own way, and those standards made Zeitgeist look horrid to me by comparison.

I suppose it'd be a Nickelback album or maybe one of the newer Linkin Park ones. But of ones I actually own I would go with Zeitgeist by Smashing Pumpkins. How can a band that created two of the greatest albums ever recorded release such a pile of dog shit? Gross.

Why not "Amused to Death" by Roger Waters. Where "The Wall" is the epic, brilliant, sad, emotional and indescribably great "The Wall" and "The Final Cut" is the mediocre, yet decent "The Wall", "Amused to Death" is the overwrought and horribly bad "The Wall"!

To all the people that dislikes "The Wall": Yes, it's pretentious. Yes, Roger Water's voice is whiny. Yes, not all songs are of the same quality. Yes, he is singing "ooh, babe" a lot of times during the album. Yes, it is a cheap trick to make the album "circular" by making the last song to the beginning of the first song. But it all works so unrealistically great. It's okay to like it.

..sorry, I just can't get it into my head how people can refuse to be moved by this album.

I don't have any least favourite album. Whenever I try to dislike an album I automatically begin to like it instead.

Londonbeat - Speak

I remember buying it for a few dollars because of my knowledge of their one hit "I've Been Thinking About You." But this album was one of the first that I hated and wanted to get rid of straight away.

I did have a custom chart up for the rest but I thought it was pointless really.

It's funny - a high candidate for my least favourite is by the same band, but two albums later. The Crash Test Dummies Give Yourself a Hand isn't even ironic, it's so bad. If you hate God Shuffled His Feet, wait til you check this one out:

Only 3 albums are in contention for that position (in order of worst to still-fucking-awful-but-somehow-not-as-bad-as-the-former):

Diamond Eyes by The Deftones
Nordavind by Storm
White Pony by The Deftones

These are probably the only 3 albums that I've heard that I have no intention of trying to like.

The least favorite album that I have is Van Halen III. I like Van Halen. I even like Extreme. But take the singer from Extreme and put him in front of Van Halen trying to sound modern and it was just awful. Probably the most disappointed I've ever been to get a hold of an album and listen to it.
