My Beatles experience is limited, but Help is definitely better. Ticket to Ride, You're Gonna Lose That Girl, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, I've Just Seen a Face. Yup.

This is tough... really tough. They are both pretty much even in my opinion. I guess if I had to pick one I would pick AHDN... but just by a hair.

Well, sort of. The "only-annoying-if-you-hear-them-a-thousand-times" and "well-crafted" parts are up for debate, but even given the rest, innocent+harmless+catchy+fun =/= high-quality.

I was never that huge but yes, I used to like this very much. Like all of their other pre-Revolver work (which includes Help too), though, it gets worse and worse with each listen. It's definitely a big improvement over their first two albums though 🤮

They had a slightly greater knack for catchy riffs and melodies. That's all that distinguished The Beatles from the rest of the pop scene before 1966.

AHDN by far. Help! has some very good songs (the title track, You've got to hide..., Ticket to ride, Yesterday, I've just seen a face), but there are songs I don't like that much (the two non-Beatles tracks, Act Naturally and Dizzy Miss Lizzy) and there are some 'OK' songs like Another girl or It's only love. I like the diversity of styles/influences yet the album doesn't seem to be consistent.
AHDN sounds so fresh from the first until the last second, I enjoy listening to it a lot. It is a very consistent album..maybe only the last song, I'll be back sounds different, it should've been on Beatles for Sale rather than on AHDN.
All of the opening and closing tracks on both sides are very strong songs I think... and I can't name a filler song on the whole album. It is a fun album.
