Could we reach 1000? I think each member would get too many albums then, although it could always be left often indefinitely for new members to add albums.

I don't ever want to be anywhere close to hearing every album there is. Because there are a gazillion albums out there with stuff like this on it, and I don't want to commit suicide because of bad music. (Henry Kaiser should, by the way, have his license to carry a guitar revoked. Not to mention the shirt and pants combo...)

1. though it will never happen, that statement is the very drive that I find in myself to keep pushing myself to listen to all the music I can.

2. I think this site has done a fairly good job though its still years behind rym.

Thanks to the great amount of albums that have been released and will be, we need the time machine more than ever. This is really something that's messing with my mind. 😕 On one hand I want to listen to albums so I can become really familiar with them and be "true friends" with them. On the other hand I want to know as many albums as possible so I don't miss out anything. I also want to have time to just listen to the albums I feel like listening to, you know, just for the enjoyment ( 😲 )! Then again I want to listen many albums, but properly and a big enough number of times, so I have the right to speak of them, whether it's either criticizing or praising them.

I find the limits we have as humans very fascinating regarding the album as an art form. I mean, Bull of Heaven, as somebody mentioned, the idea about making an album that lasts longer to finish than you'll ever have to live in, that's really thought-provoking, isn't it? If listening to an album requires a really big part of the time you have here in life to listen to albums, you really have to consider an extra time if you want to listen to the album or not.

And why haven't bands/artists not experimented more with album lengths? I've only listened to very few great albums that last longer than 2 hours (maybe "Mellon Collie" is the only one 🤔 ). Okay, it's probably a matter of the right balance between quantity and quality, but if you could come up with a huge and epic consistent great album that lasts +10 hours, you would beat "The Dark Side of the Moon" by many lengths!

this. also if you played them all at the same time you'd probably go deaf, and if not then you wouldn't be able to make anything out.

What's more relevant IMO is the possibility that more than 24 hours of music is made per day (probably a lot more)... which, well, you know... unless one listens to multiple songs at once. I guess. But then what's the point? Why am I still posting in this thread...

It'd be impossible to listen to every album ever produced, especially if you consider stuff like Bull Of Heaven who have made things that are a septillion years long.
