This is the only song i have ever listened to that has brought tears to my eyes.

I think i cryed because it made me aware of loves mortality.

As soon as the vocals come in, I break down into fetal position and cry.

For me, it's the combination of (what I see as) powerful lyrics or lyrics which I can relate to with the right musical background.

The only group which makes me emotional without (comprehensible) lyrics is Sigur Ros.

Something sad and realistic that you can relate to. Typically entire songs, but mostly the lyrics in the song.

Or a sad enough instrumental sometimes... but rarely.
