Another user noticed that there are two entries for Pink Floyd's "More" album:

18 months - is that how long you've been hassling me about this? doesn't time fly! I could have sworn I left a response the first time.

I'd love to be able to afford to drop my day job to work on BEA but it makes no money, so I can't. So, I have to do things when I find the time. Please understand this.

The special deluxe edition of The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society is very different from the original. It is now 3 CDs and numerous additional tracks. Miles Davis has many complete editions of original albums with many additional tracks. What do you really want to do, include all future editions or limit your choice to the original? Doesn't matter to me, but be consistent. Start with an action on The Clash!

yes, you're right we need to do something. I know it's not consistent and ideally I also would want one release per album (the original release), but both albums in this case were very different (not just one track).

I agree, the album should not be listed twice, but not sure the best way of dealing with this at the momet.

Well I rated the US version of Is This It? Now it has been changed to the UK version.

There are 46 charts that have the UK version and only 11 with the US version of The Clash. Combining them would move the album from 164 to 145. The Stokes and The Clash (and all other albums) should be treated alike. In this case they both have different tracks and covers (although The Clash cover is almost identical).

How about all The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Kinks country variants?
Should we have separate listings for albums from every country or with different track editions (deluxe, remixed, etc.)?

I don't know if it's their issue or if it's wrong on here, but the NME chart has the same Pet Shop Boys album listed twice, first on #47 and then again on #74.

Apologies for the delayed response. Yes, I think we'd like to just list UYI 1 and 2 separately but there is a combined version http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_Your_Illusion and it appears on 17 lists, so we'll have to keep separate.

We've now merged the The Soul Cages entry - thanks for reporting.

There are 3 versions on the site and there were only 2 albums, Use Your Illusion I & Use Your Illusion II. I think the 'Use Your Illusion' listing should be removed, it was never released as a single set

I prefer the USA version but don't care which we list. We shouldn't list both because it throws off the album statistics. We don't list multiple versions of most other albums either. Can you imagine listing each deluxe or import as a separate album? Or listing each variation depending upon the track listing, extra tracks, bonus tracks, dvd, etc.?
