I like the idea, but there's nothing stopping anybody from doing this right now on the forums. I think it would sit quite well on the forums, and maybe someone here wants to do it. Other people have said they want to add their own options, so if I did it, I'm not sure people would buy into as much.

The idea of a new releases chart is a good one as well. I think we could start capturing the actual release date on BEA. and this would then facilitate a new releases chart to be added (& also solve the problem of pre-releases sometimes not appearing correctly on the site on the day of release).

I think AM pays attention to the users' experience on BEA. I'm sure he takes our suggestions seriously. I don't think we need a poll.

Albums like OK Computer don't come along every month. Usually there is a choice of pretty average titles which it would be good to rate by BEA

Agreed, the only issue I can see is if, say, 9 albums+Ok Computer are nominated, and OKC blows the court of the water, it might make that "all the albums of the day are too mainstream" worse

This is one of the best ideas I've seen suggested on this site. This should have its own thread. You're right in that it will bring more attention to the site, but more importantly, it'll be a lot of fun and a great way to discover new music.

You mean people can add whatever options to the polls? Then how many votes does each person get? Just one? Why not make a group game like with the groups of ten albums in the Games section?

I think voting on the QUALITY of the site is a good idea, though. Of course, I love the quality of this site, and I can't wait to see what it becomes at the end of the year.

What sort of suggestions do you have? It couldn't be for Best Albums of ____, seeing as that's kinda what this whole site is.
