yes, who knows how this list was put together anyways, i remembered an article about grohl on bad brains and he listed a live album of the same period as rock for light at number 12 just like on this list

Well, sorry for generalizing. Apparently, I need to come up with an exact calculation of albums per genre. There are 26% punk albums, while 58% contain punk influences, 22% noise rock albums, 84% of the albums are considered experimental, 4% dreampop albums, 6% garage rock albums, etc.. or something like that, but that would be boring. Cobain had his own taste in music, some of it I like and some of it I don't care too much about. No, I haven't know ALL of it, but I get the bigger picture. I can hear through his music how he was influenced by certain bands, but I think, not all of it, but some of his music was way better than the music that inspired him, now that's compliment, isn't it? He isn't alive today, a shame really, but that's how it is.

Don't get what you mean by 'I'd burn it' instead of 'everyone would burn it', and how it would soften the message.

There's probably more than that, it was just the albums that I recognized except the Beatles album. I can definitely see how some of these albums inspired him, Locust Abortion Technician in particular and other lunatic albums must have been an major influence on some of the songs from the Incesticide-compilation. But mostly, I'm not a big fan of the albums represented on his greatest albums-chart.

Just out of interest... how many of this top 50 list have you listened to?
