This. The VU&N is definitely one of those bands that require repeated listens.

On the other hand, you guys obviously take Outlaw's statements the wrong way. His point isn't "BLAH BLAH BLHA Rolling Stones suck", his point is why are some bands treated as royalty and are more encouraged to repeatedly listen to in order to 'get" them when there are plenty of others just as worthy, yet they don't get the same treatment.

There's a lot of truth to familiar old cliche, it's either the stones or the Beatles. For me, it's the Stones but it wasn't always so. During my younger days, I hated the Stones but loved the Beatles, as I've got older it's the reverse. I disagree with you that the Stones haven't made a single brilliant album. I think Beggars Banquet and Exile are consistently brilliant throughout. But I understand how you arrive at your opinion.

Me neither, It was strange that they went down the psychedelic route (probably to try and beat the Beatles at their own game) but I think they pulled it off, even though the album is a complete clusterfuck. 😁

I think they made some great albums, certainly worthy rivals to the Beatles, although unfortunately they have certainly turned themselves into crashing bores with their 'cash in' reunion. They were so desperate for attention that they would say anything to get into the media, even going as far as to bring their legacy down to the level of bands like One Direction, in their pathetic bid to appear relevant. It really is tragic that bands actually do this; can't people just let things have their day and move on? They had their day and it was fun, unfortunately now its ruined by their inability to led things go.
