The Flaming Lips - The Terror
Föllakzoid - II Trance-y Chilean space rock, with hints of Faust
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Their Satanic Majesties Second Request Straight-up psych rock homage to '60s pyschedelia
Killah Priest - The Psychic World of Walter Reed Crazy hip-hop about aliens and shit
The Underachievers - Indigoism Hallucinogenic-inspired hip-hop
Nienvox - Space Castles, Love Songs Trip-hop with psych-folk influences
Strong Arm Steady - In Search of Stoney Jackson Hip-hop with psych-soul beats, exceptional
T.E.A.M.S - Sierra City Center (Diamond Club) Lo-fi surf rock and psych-rock
Guapo - History of the Visitation Art rock, maybe not that psychedelic but cool experimental shit nonetheless
Umberto - Confrontations Again, perhaps not too pyschedelic, but it's a cool synth homage to early European B-movie soundtracks, highly recommended
Swamp Dogg - Total Destruction To Your Mind Raw funk/soul with psychedelic lyrics
Donald Byrd - Stepping Into Tomorrow Jazz-fusion. I don't know why, but this just sounds psychedelic to me

Hope there's something there you can enjoy. You're better off asking hairymarx or Defago or TracyJacks, they're all well into their pyschedelia.

Most of the local bands who's names I know around here aren't really psychedelic. Mainly hardcore punk and bluesy, garage rocky stuff because all the friends I know who are connected to the local scene are into that kind of stuff. That being said, my band is going to be playing more shows soon so maybe I'll meet some more bands. =P

Thanks. I've heard that San Francisco (as always) currently has a thriving psych scene. I don't know any bands outside of Thee Oh Sees and The Soft Moon (which has more post-punk leanings), but you should dig into that as well.
