I've actually never thought about that, even if I like both Arcade Fire and Radiohead. If so, thank the gods they never included the shitty things about U2 in their music. I agree with whoever said The Suburbs > U2, even if The Suburbs is a mediocre album (still looking forward to hearing the follow-up, however!)

U2 had a lot of solid albums, they're not the greatest, but some a lot of their stuff is pretty dope.

As for the thread title... it might be the new VW album.

You must be new 'round these parts. The hipsters on the forums don't like U2.

which ones will be considered best by BEA, based on overall rank score?

probably m b v, Amok, and the new Arcade Fire album, etc.

I just nabbed this and gave it a listen. It's some really good stuff. They give off a Beastie Boys-esque vibe IMO. Thanks for posting about it!

I really want to know what the title is for the new Arcade Fire album. Wait... what if this was their self-titled album?

Also, I'm considering listening to m b v. What do you guys think? Is it anything like Loveless? I've tried Loveless twice, and I wasn't impressed.

Arcade already had a self titled, it was their debut EP.

m b v is much more ambient and drone oriented than loveless, less "hooks" if you want to call it that, you won't find anything like When You Sleep on it. Don't think you'd like it very much.

I've got high hopes for the Daft Punk album, but I could easily see the Arcade Fire album beating it. AF's set the bar pretty high for themselves.

EDIT: Just found out mbv is also shoegazing, a genre I REALLY don't like as many people might know.
Also, 24 days until the new Alice in Chains album.

Indigo Meadow has been really growing on me since release. I don't think it's the best album of the year but I'd at least like to see it get a tiny bit of love.
