It was always the Soft Bulletin until Lethal turned me on to the wonders of Clouds Taste Metallic.

Never really got into them. I like Yoshimi alright, but I saw them cover Dark Side in 2010 and wasn't a fan.

Soft Bulletin is their biggest musical accomplishment but I tend to spin Mystics a lot so its probably my favorite in habit even if I don't think it's their best record.

Wayne Coyne and I are the same age. A perfect role model for keeping the songwriting and performances up to the same level as when I was in my 20's.

And they're a great band.

Lately I've been liking Soft Bulletin more and more and Yoshimi less and less. Maybe they're linearly related.

2 - Clouds Taste Metallic
3 - The Terror / Zaireeka (tie)
4 - Soft Bulletin
5 - At War With the Mystics
6 - Embryonic
7 - Heady Fwends
8 - everything else

The Flaming Lips are definitely one of my top 5 favorite bands. Although I haven't listened to their full discography, what I have listened to is amazing, and they are without a doubt the best band I've ever seen live. Like mind-alteringly amazing (without the use of drugs). I would highly suggest to anyone that they see the Lips live, even if they only know a few songs.

Haven't listened to all of their discography, but The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots are in my top 20 so I know that they're pretty damn great.

As painfully obvious a choice as this is, I voted Yoshimi on the poll.

I've been dying to get ahold of the Zaireeka album. Not one of the mp3 files where it's all put together, the actual 4-disc version where you need separate boomboxes/record players and have a Zaireeka party.

Trying to get a hold of 7 Skies H3 has been a real pain, since you can't even buy it in stores or online.
