                          It would appear the whistling gimmick at the end of '(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay' by Otis Redding is an accident. Otis didn't have the time to finish the track, and so he whistled the tune to the last verse to re-work it later. But he died before he could.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Not sure if the story's true, but it's interesting, if a bit morbid.</description>
