eh, I was listening to Kasey's top 40 at that time, which I think was based on Radio and Records Magazine, not Billboard. Not sure though - I also listened to Rick Dees' Top 40 until it wasn't available locally anymore.

To say that Jump was a hit is probably doing it a disservice. I believe it held the #1 single for a record 12 weeks or something. Jump makes Gangnum Style look like a (even more) minor blip on the radar. Kids my age were wearing their clothes backwards for months while reading their Disney Adventure magazine (I was a huge nerd at 10), and they even had a feud with some other kiddy group called ABC over who wore their clothes backwards first. They still play Jump quite a bit at NBA games (guess when) and that beat from Jermaine Dupri is still pretty sick even today.

i enjoyed their songs back in the day, especially the two hits. the album was ok, as was the lead single from their follow-up.

They followed it up with Warm It Up Kris - I recall both songs. Not a fan, but they were quite catchy for rap songs.
