Would've voted for Cradle of Filth had it been Dusk... and Her Embrace that was nominated, unfortunately that was a 90's album.

I voted Midian here, while the singing irritated me at times, I still actually enjoyed the album a bit thanks to the music, it genuinely had me jumping around at times. Somnium on the other hand was by no means bad, but there were at least 3/4 hours there were dragged on too much for my liking and it didn't help me sleep as it's apparently supposed to, granted it had some very good moments, but as a whole it just didn't merit my vote.

I don't remember properly, but I don't think it's supposed to help you sleep. It's not a cure for insomnia 🤣

My insomnia is too powerful for Somnium, so it doesn't exactly put me to sleep... but whatever methods were used to make it, Robert Rich ended up making something crazy pleasant sounding. It just sounds good to me, whatever its purpose was intended for.

I think I get the abstract feel that Midian is going for... it feels a bit weak to me though and it doesn't seem to have much originality. My vote is for Somnium.

There is actually some good nostalgic value with Cradle of Filth, but I haven't heard Somnium so Im going to abstain for now
