And thanks of making me aware of The Avalances again. I heard about them before (3 years ago) and went to buy their album. It was only when I got home that I realized I had picked up Explosions In the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone

I've only recently heard a couple MSP albums, thanks to you outlaw.

It hasn't been confirmed, but the new Avalanches album is supposedly in the sample clearing stage

Did you hear what one of Gerrard's friends said about the new material? That it makes their old material obsolete or something? If it is better than The Black parade then It can only be great. 😜

Totally I'm SOOOOO excited. I wonder who's going to be the drummer since the old drummer left the band. It's nice to find someone who knows about My Chem. THere's no official release date yet though.

Teen Dream is awesome .. still havent heard the new Nationals album, but that will be just around the corner .. In contrast, ive been pretty surprised with some of the quality thats come out .. but Im never really that optimistic so im usually pleasently surprised

I like discover at least five great new bands each year. So far: ZERO. Has the archetypal young ambitious rock band officially been replaced by young "thoughtful" indie assholes parading idol worship, "irony", and flagrant sedative bullshit around like original music? FUCK THIS.

and don't give me Beach House. Beach House makes Coldplay look like the Stooges.

My brother's a huge fan of them (he's going to see them in July), so he'll probably pick up this new album on release.

Anyway, I'd hate to say it, but I'm pumped for Miley Cyrus' new album. Apparently it will have a "darker" tone to it.

I just learned that ZZ Top are releasing an album called Roots of ZZ Top that compiles all the tracks by Gibbons/Hill/Beard in various bands before they formed that little ol' band from Texas. Interesting.
