Blonde On Blonde is a great album, stuff like "I Want You" "Visions Of Johanna" "Just Like A Woman" are all plain amazing. But some of the more blues-rockish songs... I dunno, whereas they were at least interesting on "Bringing It All Back Home" and "Highway 61 Revisited" they just started to wear by now. That and I don't really like "Sad Eyed Lady" (though this may change in the future)

Pet Sounds on the other hand, is absolutely wonderful, and probably the only album to never leave my top 10.

Well, maybe that and ITAOTS.

You've listened to Pet Sounds a hundred times, but you feel it's nice and that's all? I don't understand that. I am in almost exactly the same boat as you on that whole comment, just that I have listened to Per Sounds maybe 6 times.

I go for Blonde On Blonde. Dylan has never been more vulnerable and you can actually feel it on every track. "Visions of Johanna" alone melts me every time and when I listen to "I Want You" it gets stucked in my mind the rest of the day, just to mention a couple of tracks.

Blonde on Blonde by a long shot for me, but both are massive, sprawling, fantastic albums that are the work of one artist at their absolute peak

Fuck.. I just listened to Blonde on Blonde (thanks to everyone who recommended grooveshark) and absolutely loved it. It's tough, but I still think Pet Sounds takes it by just a bit. There's just a brilliance to Pet Sounds that difficult to go up against.
