I didn't think this idea would get taken seriously but I'm glad it is, could be great.

I think the principle of promoting someone else rather than yourself (damn, every time I write this word I think of at least seven puns, why did this user have to choose this username?) could make the tournament much more convivial and much less pretentious than it would have been otherwise. Give me one hour or two and the thread is done.

And yeah, your idea was so good I took it seriously since the first time I read it. It was the first sentence of my original post actually, with "Challenge accepted." written under it 🤣

It's an interesting idea, but I can't help but think of users that sadly won't be represented by anyone, or users who will have multiple volunteers on promoting them...

I'll think about a tournament then. It could be a shitstorm, or be totally awesome. I don't think it'll be boring anyway. Maybe I should wait for the end of the two current tournaments before starting this one? It's not a musical one, but... I don't know. What do you think?

Heh, forgot about those threads, I guess I technically have the title of "Worst Ever User" then.

I think that such a tourney/thread could work well if it was executed properly.

It's was sort of interesting, although I don't see why your compliments or criticisms of someone should be reserved to a poll, just speak your mind people.

I don't see why poll options shouldn't be increased, though it could make the forums a little messier, and wading through 70 options would be ridiculous. You can always just make a poll on a different website and link it.

But whatever floats the boat, y'all.

So I wanted to make a Best Ever User thread with a poll gathering all the forum users. I thought it'd be a fun idea. The problem is that the limit number of poll options is way too low. I read somewhere that it was 20, but there are much more than 20 poll-worthy forum users. Maybe like 60 or 70, or 50 at the very least.

I really think a thread like that would bring much more fun than arguments, and the results could be interesting. Would it be possible to have more poll options to do it? Anyway, if you think it's a bad idea, there's no need to argue much more, as it would probably be the only thread which would use that many poll options.
