I like to see plenty of things from plenty of genres, artists and eras in a chart. Being stuck in a particular period (past or present) is therefore a bad point for me. That said, it's not a VERY bad point. It's easily counterbalanced by the presence of unexpected choices or albums I love. This is a perfect example of a chart where even the heavy presence of 70's albums is not really a problem compared to the quality of the pick themselves. And it isn't even THAT stuck in the past. There's still a respectable amount of albums from the 90's, the 00's, and even the 10's. A chart like that easily become a favorite of mine.

I'd say the "stuck in an era" thing is bad when the picks themselves are nothing particularly amazing or unexpected. Then the chart becomes really uninteresting. What's your opinion about that?
