I would really like that too. But it would have to pretty much be exactly how this site works (with the small community of folks who are passionate about film in the same way people are here). And using accredited critic lists and such. Or else it would probably have something like Avatar at number #1 or something. 😐

i was with my brother as it happens, but strangely enough i was not intoxicated for a sunday afternoon..

the friends that insisted i see it are both self-styled 'intelligent masheads' and if you suspend the intelligence part for a couple of hours, i can see why they might have enjoyed it.

i did see a great french film the other day - ne le dis a persone - dubbed in english of course. it's based on the bestselling novel 'tell no one' by american author harlen coben which i also loved.

i'd recommend it highly to anyone, especially users on this site, as the soundtrack was also notable for the inclusion of jeff buckley, u2 etc. i actually didn't mind 'lilac wine' at all when it played

the IMDB ranking system isn't that bad ! sure not perfect

one thing important to know is that not all votes are taken in the global votes, you should actually vote very often to have your vote taken in the global voting.

While not identical IMDb.com rates movies and provides a very comprehensive database and search functions. You can make your own chart and if you wish share it. You can rate movies as a member and see the aggregate member ratings in chart form. IMDb uses ratings (not chart positions) to provide rankings.
