I talk a lot more IRL. And I give up arguments online much easier than real life. I think I don't like typing that much, that's why. People IRL think that I'm a very happy and colorful guy mostly who loves partying; I'm not. I'm much more impulsive IRL too, here I seem more reasonable. Now that I think I see that my real life is more of a role-playing, conforming to expectations.

I think I'm nicer online. I'm even more of an insufferable, arrogant know-it-all IRL, mostly when I'm drunk. I don't generally do that too often on the Internet (I think?). Also, I often switch off from the conversations I have IRL (unintentionally, I just seem to "escape" somehow), while still looking like I'm listening avidly, which gives me a totally unjust reputation of a good listener. Having to read prevents me from having those lapses. All-in-all, at least on this site, I'm better online.

I believe few people IRL suspect the extent of my passion for music (other than my classical training), but I'm pretty sure I've been identified as a film buff (the kind that watches japanese movies with swedish subtitles 😉 ).
I hardly get much music talk outside BEA though, so I guess I enjoy having CellarDoor to discuss post-punk and shoegaze.
CellarDoor likes to wear a sad face. IRL I don't like to enforce my emotional turmoils on people, but I've been told I have a dark sense of humor.

Voted IRL, because CellarDoor needs me to get drunk to post in BUTT thread.

I'm more interested in real people than internet people, and this interest makes me a better person IRL than on internet, I think

Not sure. I like my online persona and my real life self although it's hard to make a distinction between them as I am pretty similar in both. (Unable to take anything seriously at all ever, funny, recklessly impulsive, this probably isn't so evident online unreliable, kind but only for selfish reasons and often bored you can tell by how often I'm on here or reading or watching something.

I much much much prefer talking over typing though and feel like it is easier to express myself in person with my flailing limbs,

Also I have the best avatar. So maybe prefer online me.

Internet me:

I'm much more efficient in text format, seeing as I actually hate the act of talking. Text is a direct feed into my brain, whereas speech is a much clumsier vessel for my thoughts. I get to take time formulating responses online, and don't usually have much to say off the cuff.

I argue a bit more online, probably mainly becuase I like to have sources at my fingertips. I find as time goes on, I have less and less to argue about.

I like to be represented and defined by the things I create. I'm proud of a lot of the things I've put time into creating online, and it's a joy to see other people enjoy them.

Real world me:

Usually quiet, with brief stints of madness. I've been told I'm extremely different to talk to in-person than I am when chatting online. Less "quirky" and more "offputtingly asocial". I like to observe and listen. People seem to warm to me over time though.

High-res 3D, full colour spectrum.

Sick dance moves, singing and acting chops.

Flesh, organs, hair follicles.

Aussie charm.

But my online personality is relatively similar to my offline one. I think I'm actually quicker to back down from an argument online than off, because generally I give less shits online and there's less of a point arguing online (still a point though if it's a legitimate or civil argument).

I think the win goes to me IRL, since I have a better sense of fashion 😉

Online... I am kinda held back, mostly fly under the radar, with occasional quips or snippets that get quoted and begin conversations. Plus, my avatar is Alfred Hitchcock with a green beard and an orange fez.

IRL... I'm arrogant and have an overbearing personality. I'm loud, interruptive, and everyone either loves or hates me (most hate). And rather than an avatar, I look like a whiter and younger version of Hugh Laurie.

I'm not as nice online. Having a bit of time to think before speaking helps online so that's a plus (i.e. I made an idiot of myself fewer times online than IRL).
I made about as many friends the last couple of years online than I have IRL in the last 10 years-

I think I like the internet me a bit more.

They're pretty similar for me but I'd still go with IRL. Maybe it's just because I really like the people I know in real life and am pretty happy with my life.
