This is the internet outlaw. How are we supposed to know you were kidding? So what you're actually saying is you were trolling? See the problem is that you've been posting threads questioning people's honesty in terms of what music they like for about a year - maybe two. If it's a joke it's not that funny but I have my doubts anyway. All it's done in my eyes is divide the forum.

Then Romanelli goes ahead and further turns this into an 'us vs them' divide. Unless he was joking too?

tbh Outlaw, you were getting a wee bit annoying with the whole thing about people being dishonest about their music taste, even if you meant it as a joke - ain't it a bit telling that people thought you were being wholly serious about that?

I'm new here, so I'm not terribly in touch with the community as a whole, but I really like your posts and think they add a lot to the forums. You think about things in an unconventional way and aren't quick to become angry or offended. I think I see your posts more or less the way you see them (I actually thought this thread was entertaining too), so I don't understand why many others take them personally. It seemed to me that the conclusion here was that we are all elitists in our own way, which hardly comes off to me as a personal attack on anyone.

Regardless, if people are bothered by it, I guess it has to be toned down. I just hope you don't lose too much of your edge. 😎

Oh my word no no no no 😲 😲 😲 I was gone posting a huge reply to something else and now this has happened.

Upon my heart, the thread was going to name no users at all. It was going to be about words again and I wasn't naming anyone. It was supposed to be a funny thread in the vein of the 'What don't you like about music...' thread. I'm pretty sure somethings mentioned would have applied to me.

While I have written off things as jokes in the past and generally laughed along at times with my supposed persona on here, what I have just read here's got to me. The fact I could write 'The Charlatans of BEA' and people assume 100% Outlaw must be naming people because thats the way they are is quite distressing.

A while ago I remember I assigning some new ratings. I just went over a few users giving out what first came to mind. For a childish reason when I was on lethalnizzle's chart I gave a low score. The childish reason being I wanted them to critize me. I think they're a cool user and I wanted them to flame my chart for the thrill and it could be something to laugh and joke about later. Anyway, they posted on Random Chat a message along the lines of me ratings charts on how "honest" they were. This idea had come from a joke I perhaps a few months back where I said I would rate peoples charts based on how "honest" I thought they were. People outright believed them and I found it a little funny that people would think I'd do that at the time. But coupled with this thread and other incidents the true horror is people completely believed it. It was unquestionable to think I was anything but serious with that comment.

I see sny comments popping up every now and again when people are addressing me. I took a lot of them as jokes and didn't dwell on them 2 minutes after reading them. But the truth is the vast majority of these people are not joking at all and they are getting annoyed at me as a person. When I think I have been laughing with them it's becoming clear from the last page or so there are people who are fed up with me.

Some of my favorite presences on the forums such as Cellerdoor, Norman Bates, lethalnizzle I know have said comments which could be interpretted as not jokes now. To think they were hints of annoyance and perhaps even outright hatred of me being here is terrible. Jhereko's comment earlier in this thread was one I didn't know how to take at first. It struck me as too belligerent to be a joke but I thought perhaps I was being thrown off.

I think constantly accusing people of being elitists for music they like (or more accurately, dislike) and seperating yourself from then on that basis is a different type of elitism and something that's becoming more prevelant these days. Sorry but these threads are starting to become extremely redundant and a bit mean-spirited

Either post the thread or name the people you're talking about. This is the stuff people should be banned for, some paranoid nutter making threads containing subliminal comments about other users because he's afraid to call people out himself, it's completely nonsensical and defeats the purpose of this section. It's not music discussion at all, it's people talking about others in a manner that doesn't reflect what bea is about imo. I'm not one for conflict, I try to avoid it at all costs, but at this point you should either name the people you're talking about and get this off your chest, or never mention it again.

I like you outlaw, I really do, but recently you've lost your charm, you seem like a pale imitation of your former self, stop thinking everyone has ulterior motives, we don't. We're here to discuss music, that's something that your presence of late has inhibited.
