Anyway, I used to listen to Keane quite a bit (when their first 2 albums came out) but I get why people wouldn't like them. They're bland and not risky at all. Still I think Under The iron Sea is their masterpiece (clearly so do they), Hopes and Fears is nice enough, Perfect Symmetry is pretty hit and miss (mostly miss though they've only included the 2 best songs off the album on the compilation) and Strangeland is possibly the most forgettable album I've heard.

4 albums is the minimum for a single-disc greatest hits I think. So Keane is in the clear. 3 or under is iffy unless they have a bunch of non-album singles. 5-7 is preferred, anything more than that and it needs to be a double album.

The tracklist is kind of hilarious though, 7 songs from Under the Iron Sea! Why not just buy the album...?

They have been active longer and have only one less album than R.E.M. when they released Eponymous.

A Keane Best Of album will be released later this year. 😲 Such amazing news! I had forgot about this band until recently. 'Hopes and Fears' and 'Under the Iron Sea' have so much favorites. Let's have a thread to remember all about them.
