First album I ever managed to listen to from cover to cover was Absolution by Muse. I'm not sure why this album appealed to me so much. I think it was the awesome mix of Matt Bellamy's vocals and the Grandiose "queen-esque" style it has going to it. Still love this album to the this day.

I think it was "No need to argue" by The Cranberries. I think i was 11 or 12.

The Strokes' Is This It. Changed my life ... I was about 9 or 10, it was in 2003, just got a CD player as a present. I couldn't stop listening to it... it was magical.

Oddly enough, mine might be the Beatles Anthology 1. I was just a kid when it came out.

I'm with you, man. I had cassette copies of Slippery When Wet and Def Leppard's Hysteria. And I know I purchased a cassette of Mariah Carey's debut in 1990. But I mostly just listened to songs I knew from the radio. Then Ten came out, followed by Nevermind a month later. Those both got played constantly, and started my interest in full albums.

"Summertime Dream" by Gordon Lightfoot

I took a trip to Canada as a teenager, and the radio station up there played a different set of old songs than the oldies station I listened to back home. I heard "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", which was not in rotation back home, just once, and it stuck in my brain. Some songs do that. Anyway, I had to get that song. So, I sought out the album.

Once I had the album, I found that I liked the rest of it so much that I listened to it over and over again, and everywhere. I even bought the sheet music for it. (I don't remember why).

I still love it. It's in my top 20.

I'm a pretty big Coldplay fan, but honestly I haven't listened to much beyond their albums 🤔 The one B-side that comes to mind is "For You," which is quite excellent.

Around 1995 I was a bit late didn't pick the album up until Sad but true was released still one of my favorite songs of all time.

I don't really know for sure, but I remember, when I was around 9 or 10 i think, listening a lot to these albums: Encore - Eminem; Live In Texas - Linkin Park; Preço Curto... Prazo Longo - Charlie Brown Jr; Dogão é Mau - Dogão.
I used to listen very much to the "mainstream" radio stuff , as a kid. There were some good things on the radio in fact

albums i bought at the same time as Highway 61 were Demon Days by the Gorillaz (me and my sister listened to it all the time when i was young), Us Against the Crown by State Radio, and Lynyrd Skynyrds Greatest Hits.
Those were all on iTunes, and for a while after it was just albums on iTunes, but the first cd's i bought were Viva La Vida by Coldplay and Sgt. Peppers.
