I feel like a lot of memory is edited out (just simply forgetting or drinking too much), and of course memory can be edited in a la "eye-witness phenomenon" or whatever.

Do you ever have deja vu dreams? This happened to me several times actually. I truly don't know if I have the déjà vu because I have actually had the dream before, or if it is just an impression. It's pretty confusing. Sometimes I have the feeling that my dream is following the plot of another dream I've had before, too, and I don't know whether it's true or not either.

And as far as I remembered, I've had a so-real-I-think-it's-true dream once, about my French teacher saying one of the poets we were studying in class was actually really shitty. It was pretty fun, though not real in the end.

Now that you mention it, I have this strange recurring dream of being tortured by some shady organisation... something about a resistance movement and worshiping a being called The Great Providence... I forget the details. It's probably nothing.

Is it possible to have a dream and then think it was real later on? Because I sure wonder sometimes if some of my early memories (around about ages 4-7) were dreams I have convinced myself were memories. Mostly because strange things happen and it doesn't make sense looking back 🤔
