Personally, I think I'd be okay if only Nirvana got in from this list, though it would be nice to see The Replacements and The Meters get in, too.

I can see how Yes might have some merit.

I can see how Kiss, Deep Purple and LL Cool J will get in, based on commercial success alone. I'm personally not a fan.

Artists aren't eligible until 25 years after the release of their first album. This is their first year of eligibility.

Pretty sure this is the first year that Nirvana is eligible. I think the requirement is that their debut album has to have been released at least 25 years ago.
