Was struggling on whether to put this in Lounge or Music, but I think it belongs here.

THE BEST MUSIC YOU'VE NEVER HEARD (Published in The Rough Guide series)

My wife bought me this book a couple of months ago and it was very interesting reading to expand the musical horizons. It's got chapters on most music genres and features small articles about the bands and musicians who never made it to the spotlight, and the albums that were sadly forgotten. It's available at Borders for $20 (and I'm sure lots of other places). Highly recommended reading.
