Agree about the state of the 30s/40s charts on the year/decade page. The fact those decades are listed is more an oversight on my part as the volume of albums from that period on BEA is small, which renders those particular charts pretty meaningless (particularly the 1930s which looks a mess & should probably be removed). Tbh, it wouldn't be a lot of extra work for me to enable people to create charts for the 1940s, if people want this. There's probably enough albums from that decade to make worthwhile.

I like this idea. It would definitely promote albums from the 40s more.

since there already are yearlists from the 40's although at the moment in a terrible mess under the statistics-section and even the 30's (consists of one 1 album as of now) i can't see why we should'nt have the possibility to make real ones (not custom). i myself have a handful of albums from the 40's (some of which are in my infamous bubbling under custom chart) that are not present in the bea as of now because they can't seem to fit into my best of all times chart. there are loads of great albums from that period, though. in fact those were the days of the real original album. the origin of the name album; loads of (8-10) 78rpm's stuck in between beautifully designed/crafted hard binder covers like the 70's and before photo albums you might remember from your grandmothers trailer.

Gain enough points and you can make custom charts. If albummaster decides not to integrate 40s charts among decade charts, just make a 40s custom chart when you are able.

Salut Fabrice! It's impossible, I suspect it's parce que before the 50s, there aren't enough albums to build up consistent enough charts. Voilà !

Is it a personal problem or is it impossible?
