As much as I love Fresh Fruit, Illmatic is one of my favourite hip-hop albums. It's not as samey as Fresh Fruit and I remember more songs from Illmatic.

Plus I prefer "Life's a Bitch" to "Holiday in Cambodia" so that helps.

I voted Illmatic. It was an easy decision, but not a very satisfying one. Both albums are on my chart, but Nas is higher.

Abstaining. I didn't like either of them enough for it to matter to me who wins, and there is clearly a lot of passion for both albums. Each is clearly a pure example of its genre, but I don't have that much of a preference.

Amazing and heartbreaking match up. Both are landmark, intense, powerful, and unique albums. Both absolute stone cold classics in their genres. And both are on my chart.

...it's just that I love Illmatic more. "Ain't Hard To Tell" is the greatest rap song I've ever heard.

I like Dead Kennedys but their debut is not my fav of theirs. Illmatic though, will be on my chart in the next update.
