The Beatles.

Radiohead.

Wu-Tang Clan.

TLC is the correct answer.

Oooh look... another resurrected thread!

You may as well add the following to the list...

Helen Love <3 <3 <3
Kleenex/LiLiPut 😁
Marine Girls 😁 😁
All Girl Summer Fun Band
Chin Chin
Erase Errata
Le Tigre
Trash Kit

There's a bucket-load of other little twee bands worth mentioning too, but I can't be fooked.

And if you're talking about girl groups such as the Spector-era stuff (Ronettes, Chiffons, Crystals) and the Shangri-Las you may as well add Honey Ltd to that roll-call - essential Lee Hazlewood-produced fluffiness.

And for all you Welsh language speakers/folk fans out there... there's always Sidan...

The Runaways certainly spring to mind. Though to say they are the best, well...I'm not so sure about that.

No-one has mentioned The Donnas - don't know too much about them myself but they seem okay. Similar story with The Like.

Jale?

A short-lived late '90s all-girl group called Chicks played support to Manic Street Preachers at my favourite ever concert and two of the three 'Chicks' later became fringe members of Republic of Loose, who have a couple of albums in or around my top 100.

This track is kinda fun :

I understand that the term 'band' can be applied to vocal groups but it really bugs me. I didn't want to have to type out 'best all female band where members play guitar, drums and bass...'

Salt-n-Pepa, The Supremes, The Ronettes, The Crystals...

Wow, there is a serious lack of all-girl music groups. Well, whatever, it's not like there's that many all-guys music groups.....

I'd go either...

The Supremes who opened the flood gates for female groups on a commercial level, and their future influence of many 90's - current (2010's) R&B girl groups....

And The Runaways who proved that girl power in rock is possible...

😄

It's not just a reunion tour. They have a single out.

Most of these bands had reunion tours years after they broke up. The Bangles did one as recently as 2011. I didn't count that with any of the other bands either.

No mention of Cub? I mean, how can you not love a band labelled "cuddlecore".
