Yep, Tennant used one up when he loses a hand. He's able keep the same appearance and the severed hand becomes a 2nd identical doctor. End of series 4 apparently.

I was enjoying the mas special right up until he took out the Daleks with regeneration energy or whatever the fuck. Like, why didn't the Daleks just destroy the entire area (no way that capital ship not have something that could do the trick) it was just so dumb, tuned out after that. Looking forward to Capaldi, hopefully he tones down on the WhImSy, it gets annoying after a while.

Agree on both points - Tennant and Smith bounced off each other remarkably well, and Elizabeth I was super annoying. What purpose did she even serve in this episode? Why couldn't it have been one of the several, several people the Doctor already knows from the past? You know, cause the episode was supposed to have "cameos".
