Somewhat related to this: it would be nice if I could compare my overall top 100 to custom charts, in the same way as top 100 charts are now compared with each other. Apparently it doesn't work right now (it just asks me to make my own custom charts).

This is what I wanted to avoid. 😄

I proposed that the system gives you all that in a nice tabulated way where you can see your chart on the left side and the compared chart on the right side starting with the common albums on both columns, then the albums not in your chart in the right column and finally the albums not in the compared chart in the left column.

Makes sense?

It's all pretty much on the charts page anyway, but I can see what you are saying. If you compare two 100 albums charts 1, 2, and 3 will all add up to 100, of course.

So, surely by process of elimination you could see how many common and uncommon albums you have. Let's say you have 25 common albums, you will therefore have 75. There will therefore be 75 albums in your chart that they don't have in theirs and 75 in theirs you don't have in yours.

Also, it's already possible to see how many you have listened to, are in your collection, or on your wish list.

Don't see the exact point of this, no support for this suggestion.

I see what you are saying but this is not what I am looking for; this is a very generic common charts list.

I actually want to see the common/different albums as explained in 1, 2, 3 above as I am viewing a specific chart. Basically a link/button called something like "Compare to mine" that first lists the common albums, then the ones in the compared chart but not in my chart and finally the ones in my chart but not on the compared chart.

Not sure about its usefulness. I am basically looking for 1, 2, 3 above.

What comparisons are you envisioning exactly? We can already see albums we have in common with other charts, but it might be cool to be able to look at the chart composition tables side-by-side or something like that, maybe.

How easy or difficult is to implement a chart compare functionality? In many cases I find the "urge" to compare a particular chart with mine to see what is common or different. I think it would be a neat feature. 😄
