Sail To The Moon is one of my three favorite (5/5) songs on HTTT, along with there there and Backdrifts. it's a radiohead masterpiece !
Hail To The Thief and Pablo Honey are the two Radiohead albums I haven't heard yet. After Radioheads 00's music I'm not really too stirred to listen to Hail To The thief. I heard Creep from Pablo Honey though.

Just listen to There There from Hail To The Thief, i think this will motivate you to get the album, if not hang yourelf

You know, it was good by Radioheads standards

'A Wolf at the Door' and '2 + 2 = 5' are also very good songs from Hail to the Thief, should check those out. From my Pablo Honey, my favorites are 'Creep' and 'Blow Out.'

A Wolf At The Door was fantastic! It made me want to listen to the rest which I am doing right now. :P

Yes !!! you can stay alive in that case ...

Hail To The Thief and Pablo Honey are the two Radiohead albums I haven't heard yet. After Radioheads 00's music I'm not really too stirred to listen to Hail To The thief. I heard Creep from Pablo Honey though.

Just listen to There There from Hail To The Thief, i think this will motivate you to get the album, if not hang yourelf 😉

I had heard the single from The Wall but due to the huge price tag on it and the fact I never really bothered with Pink Floyd at all until I listened to Wish You Were Here, it got put back till a few weeks ago (it was on sale and I thought "go on then".)
The single most important album you have yet to listen to is the Fillmore album by The Allman's. Greatest album ever made. Granted, it took me probably twenty years from the first time I heard it until I placed it as the number one album of all time. But right now is a good time for that first listen. Let me know in 2030 what you think.
*Metallica-Master of Puppets: The greatest metal album ever. No questions asked.
*Beatles-Abbey Road: Truly has a magical quality to it, especially the medley.
*Pink Floyd-The Wall: Not the easiest album to penetrate through, but if you research the theme (and maybe watch the movie with it), then you truly will be amazed.
*Bjork-Homogenic: Up there with the best electronic albums ever made.

The Wall was sensational! 😁 Still haven't looked up the theme or the movie but I will be very interested in both after that performance.

purple wrote:

Legend makes you feel really great; as long as you're not opposed to reggae I would start with that; at times has some of the gravest song content behind the happiest songs, but it works very well. Then I would go with Bowie's Low, just cos it's amazing. Purple Rain is pop magik that no one can hate (PURPLE RAIN! purple rain...). And then I have to suggest the Moon and Antartica as one of the best of last decade; it's got some mellow stuff, some faster stuff, and a great range of sounds.

So, Low, Exodus, Purple Rain, Moon and Antartica are my suggestions. I find them all (except the last half of Low, maybe) very easy to pick up and enjoy first listen, and then it's also easy for them to keep on growing on you with each listen.

Purple Rain and Legend were both fantastic! Many great songs which I enjoyed. Bowies 'Low' was very underwhelming. I preferred Station To Station and various other singles than it.

Moon and Antartica... I'm having a very hard time finding this. It's not in the shops or the library and it's not on spotify either. I might try Ebay when I'm feeling a little more confident with my money.

Is it any different to 'Float on'? I wasn't too keen on that song.

Here are the ones I would recommend.
