That was the most epic battle yet! Holy shit! There's no wrong answer on this one thankfully.

Ugh. Come on, Is This It... just one more-- er, two more-- votes...

The race is so much closer now than when I had given up hope yesterday. Which would make its defeat all the more painful.

I listened to both of them again. Surfer Rosa was more enjoyable.

For this Battle of the NSFW covers, my vote goes to Pixies.

I like Surfer Rosa, but it's never really clicked with me.
Is This It, easily.

I really have a problem with Julian Casablancas vocal delivery. Is This It is a great guitar album paired with one of the most insufferable voices in music. I can see why it appeals to some people but I can't stand it. Surfer Rosa meanwhile is one of my favourite albums and is currently on my overall chart. Easy choice here.

Is This It is pretty much the coolest album ever made, both are in my chart I think but this is actually quite an easy choice. Can't see how lifeless and uninspired fits Is This It at all.

Is This It, quite easily. Not that either album manages to excite me.

I like Doolittle quite a bit, but I don't care for Surfer Rosa at all. The Strokes are my favorite band and Is This It is on my top 10. Very, very easy choice. I'm preparing myself to be disappointed in the outcome of this one though...

I love them both, but whilst the highs in Surfer Rosa are higher, Is This It is more consistent for me.

Surfer Rosa is pretty fun. Is This It has some good songs but is overall boring and lifeless.

yeah, I never really quite understood the appeal of the strokes; it's been awhile since I've tried to listen though
