Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road are both better than Revolver. You shouldn't take the overall rankings too seriously.

it's not only this site, acclaimedmusic.net, which i think strongly had the most significant acclaimed chart albums, put Revolver (#2) before Sgt peppers (5#) and abbey R (29#). the White album (14#) comes actually before Abbey R.

personally i don't really like the Beatles (currently my 82# favorite band !) but i find Revolver much better than Sgt Peppers

I'm still surprised Revolver is higher than Sgt Peppers and Abbey Road. Before I came onto this site I thought the later two were much more known than Revolver. So putting your own tastes aside for the moment, how did Revolver get onto more charts than both of them? Is something I missed completely with Revolvers legacy?

Because Pink Floyd kills the Beatles every day of the week. Moreover, I was hoping Dark Side would take over #1. It may not be my overall favorite album musically, but it holds the closest place to my heart, and is exponentially a better and more important album than OK Computer. I love Radiohead, but even their own Kid A is better than OK Computer.

Some of you newbies might be interested to know that a year or two ago, The Velvet Underground and Nico was listed as a separate band from the Velvet Underground, which I thought made no sense. Hence, it used to be way down in the rankings. I argued with Album Master that it should be included in the VU statistics overall and eventually won. Now it's in its rightful place. Damn Andy Warhol for confusing things!

but the impact of a seperate band would've been on the band's ranking not on the album...

but at the same time, warhol gave them the most famous album art ever 😁

One of the most entertaining things on this site is the nonstop, bloody war between VU & Nico and Pet Sounds.

Also, I doubt anything will ever overtake OK Computer; IIRC its around 6,000 points ahead of the competition.

DSOTM is running rampant .. its already 32,518 almost 400 points ahead of revolver .. It may just take over OK Computer within the next month if this keeps up

Ha ha fair enough .. I personally love it and listen to it at least 3 times a week .. that being said I'd rather see DSOTM at number one .. My personal favourite is wish you were here .. But I dont honestly think it has a chance!
