If it were done in a way where 32/64 albums in the tournaments where along the lines of 'Metal Machine Music','NYC Ghosts and Flowers','Cut The Crap',etc.. Where the albums in the competition fight for the right to be excluded(from this site anyways) from being considered "the worst album ever" rather than looking for the worst album out of a list of Ricky Martin,Black Eyed Peas,etc albums.It could turn out to be an interesting tournament and cause some users to reconsider their stances on albums from their favorite artists.

hmm worst albums ever...thats tough. but here are some of my least favorite, or maybe biggest disappointments is more like it:

Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music
Lou Reed - Sally Can't Dance (sorry Lou)
Jimi Hendrix - Crash Landing
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
David Bowie - Never Let Me Down

It might be easier to pick the most disappointing album ever, rather than "worst".
As so many people have said already, no one spends time looking for the worst ever, but most people will have been disappointed by something produced by a band they expected so much more from...

For me, Up by REM has got to be up there.

i expected so much, it delivered very little.

BTW, seems like some people preferred to take the opportunity to use this thread as a "take a shot at a band lots of people like but I don't like" sort of thing. Blow off steam or whatever.

Soulja Boy actually has really good ear for beats, and when he came on the scene he helped to invent 'Ringtone Rap'. Yes, he took elements from other people, but no-one had ever done vacuous music so brazenly. And without him we wouldn't have modern classics such as 'Teach Me How To Dougie'.

None of the above was sarcastic by the way. A lot of valid criticisms can be levelled at Soulja Boy, but being uninventive is not one.

Really? Its so enjoyable, theres a hundred albums in the last 5 years that are far worse than this ..

I don't agree with Bork on music often, but I partially do with MPP - I found only about half the album to be listenable, the other half to be pretty bad. Rare to find that combination on one album.

Bowie would have felt more of a pull to help Gabriel if he could "remember the 70's", I'm sure (David Bowie claims he can't remember the 70's, for anyone who is wondering why those quotations are there).
...I really expected Randy Newman to be more onboard. I mean, he just seems like he's be such a friendly guy! He did the fucking score for Toy Story, for chrissakes!

But Radiohead is still the worst of the lot for TELLING SOME POOR OLD MAN THAT THEY'D COVER HIS SONG AND THEN SPITTING IN HIS FACE! Thos bastards! Baaastards, I say!

But Arcade Fire said no from the get-go! And they were polite about it (because they're Canadian), but Radiohead actually AGREED first, and then they kinds threw a hissy fit over Gabriel's cover of Street Spirit and stopped returning his calls.
