Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, and Mike Skinner (The Streets). Not necessarily my favourite musicians, but three guys who would definitely be interesting to have a chat with.

Julian Koster would definitely have some wonderful ideas for a unique adventure. He's always got some sort of weird, fun game in his head.

Tough choice:

Mark E Smith - booze-related conversation, just so long as he doesn't nick my tabs.
Lee Scratch Perry - genius, loon and would bring snacks.
Joanna Newsom - eye candy.

It's either those 3 or the Ronettes c.1964, just to flirt outrageously with Ronnie and in doing so nark Phil Spector off (would make sure metal detector installed, for obvious reasons).

Cyndi Lauper - her accent makes me go all wibbly.

We'd have to meet @ the Borderline in London.

NB - I might have also gone for Keith Moon but I'd want to be abl eto remember some of the experience.

Richard D James, Natassha Khan and Karin Dreijer Andersson. We'd hit the city at night, go clubbing, find a cosy little restaurant that does wood oven pizza, go to the park and tell scary stories then share all our inner demons and crack jokes about it because we're hilarious. Weed will possibly be involved. Richard will invite everyone back to his place and show us all his cool stuff and play some of his unreleased music then we'll all decide to do a collab album and release it for free online under an alias, accompanied by a bunch of bizarre videos (which I direct) where they're all dressed up in weird costumes. The album gets a 7.8 on Pitchfork. We eventually decide to move in together and drive around in Richard's tank all day, going on adventures, possibly solving mysteries Nancy-Drew style.

Obviously, you keep both, well done.

Townes and Tom are my easy first two choices. I think hanging out with Tom Waits at a NYC jazz club after hours would be ideal, but if we are all hanging out together I would choose to be at a cabin in the mountains of Colorado, and I would want, folk singer/peace queer, Todd Snider to be the third.

I think it would be cool to just hear them all play all the music they love as opposed to their own stuff.

Two options:

David Byrne, St. Vincent, and Tom Waits. I'd meet them in a giant music store, after hours, and we'd be given free run of the place and gear.

OR...

Syd Barrett, Nick Drake, and Laura Marling. We'd meet in a log cabin by a giant river, and discuss.... I dunno, whatever they want to talk to me about.

I have already met Ray Davies, major Kink and one of the all-time great songwriters. I'm sure he doesn't remember.
Otherwise, there's no-one I'd like to meet particularly. I guess Bowie for a culture-related conversation, or McCartney for a musical chat. Pete Townshend maybe, for his frank, at times outrageous, opinions on all and sundry; or Noel Gallagher for the same reason.
I'd be too intimidated by Dylan or Neil Young.

If I met Bob Marley and managed to take a pic with him, I'd be the coolest guy ever on Facebook, so him. It could have been Arthur Lee, but who gives a fuck about him anymore? Also, probably Antony Hegarty. He'd come to my place and we'd do some really fucked up sexual things.
